“We are so thankful to Empire Electric for the donation of this truck,” said SBU President Dr. C. Pat Taylor. “This actually is the second time Empire has donated a bucket truck to SBU. We used the first one for more than a decade to assist with campus maintenance and plan to use this one for the next decade.”

The truck, retired from Empire’s fleet, is a 2005 Ford F450, 4X4, with an aerial unit with a 37 foot working height.

“We are pleased this donation will help serve the needs of SBU,” explains Roger Grider, manager, Bolivar Line Operations. “Empire District Electric Company is committed to the area and wants to support Southwest Baptist University for the first class education and economic boost they provide”.
